Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said Wednesday that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is “better” than Hillary Clinton.
The former Republican presidential candidate used no names but made clear his support for the presumptive GOP nominee over his Democratic counterpart, tweeting, “he is better than she is.”
Last August, I said I’d support the GOP nominee. It’s now clear who the RNC delegates will vote to nominate. And he is better than she is.

{mosads}Walker offered similar comments in May indicating he’d support Trump over Clinton after Trump’s last major rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) dropped out of the race.
But Walker seemed to back off his support for the businessman last month when Trump went after the Hispanic heritage of a federal judge overseeing a fraud suit against Trump University. At the time, he said, “[Trump] is not yet the nominee. Officially that won’t happen until the middle of July and so for me that’s kind of the timeframe. In particular I want to make sure that he renounces what he says, at least in regards to this judge.”
Trump has bashed former candidates who have broken their pledge to support the eventual nominee. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Jeb Bush and Ohio Gov. John Kasich have yet to endorse Trump.
Trump said last week that former Republican primary opponents who renege on their pledge to support his candidacy shouldn’t be allowed to run for office in the future.
Walker indicated Tuesday that he would speak at the Republican National Convention later this month in Cleveland, where Trump is expected to be formally nominated as the Republican Party’s nominee for president.
