A top Republican foreign policy adviser called out Mike Pence for flip-flopping in his views on Donald Trump, who announced the Indiana governor as his running mate on Friday.
Dan Senor, former Bush administration official and 2012 Romney campaign adviser, wrote on Twitter that he and Pence had discussed how Trump was “unacceptable” and that it was “disorienting” to see him join the Trump campaign.
It’s disorienting to have had commiserated w/someone re: Trump – about how he was unacceptable, & then to see that someone become Trump’s VP

{mosads}Pence had publicly called out Trump early on in the campaign.
The day the business mogul first proposed banning Muslims from entering the country in December 2015, Pence tweeted, “Calls to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. are offensive and unconstitutional.”
In the days leading up to the Indiana Republican primary, Pence endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). It wasn’t until a week later, after Cruz bowed out of the race following his loss there, that Pence endorsed Trump.
