Biographer: Golf course incident typical of Trump’s ‘erratic behavior’

The biographer who says President-elect Donald Trump asked him to leave his Florida golf course said the incident is typical of the billionaire’s “erratic behavior.”

“He used an expletive to describe the content of my book. I looked him in the eye and said ‘it’s all true.’ And he said ‘not in the way you said it. I can’t believe why you’re here,’” Hurt told CNN’s “New Day” on Monday.

Hurt wrote the 1993 book “Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump,” which included an allegation from Trump’s first wife, Ivana, that he had raped her during their marriage. Trump has denied the charge. Ivana had recanted on the allegation in 1993, according to ABC News. In 2015, she said the account of the allegations was “totally without merit.”

{mosads}Hurt said Monday that he has played on Trump’s Florida golf course “several times” since the book was published.

“Well, I mean why not?” Hurt said.

“I’ve seen him about a year and a half ago and we had an amicable conversation. We made a joke about my knickers and he said ‘I hope you enjoy the gold course,’” he added.

The biographer maintained that Trump “absolutely” knew who he was when they saw each other a year and a half ago.
