Man shot at protest against alt-right speaker Yiannopoulos
A man was shot at the University of Washington on Friday during protests against Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos, an alt-right leader who was speaking at the school.
Police told KIRO7, the local CBS affiliate, that a 32-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot in the abdomen.
The suspect reportedly turned himself in to police.
{mosads}Yiannopoulos took to Facebook to alert his followers of the incident, saying his “prayers are with the victim.”
“There was a shooting tonight outside my event at the University of Washington in Seattle, local police have confirmed,” Yiannopoulos wrote.
“A man was taken to hospital with a potentially life-threatening wound to the abdomen. We don’t know any more at this time. My prayers are with the victim, whoever he is.”
