British military tests tanks in Channel tunnel: report
The British military conducted a test with tanks last week to see how effective using the English Channel tunnel would be should the country need to deploy troops into Europe.
The test, which took place Wednesday, has been in the works for a year. The military sent five tanks down the 30-mile “Chunnel” amid a time of increasing tension between Russia and NATO, according to a NBC News report.
The timing — two days before President Donald Trump’s inauguration — was coincidental, the British Army said.
