White House press secretary Sean Spicer praised the Secret Service for its “great response.”
“Individual jumped bike rack on Pennsylvania Ave, not @WhiteHouse fence. Great response by @SecretService,” Spicer wrote on Twitter.
Last week, a man breached the White House grounds, claiming he was friends with President Trump. He was charged with entering or remaining on restricted grounds while possessing a dangerous weapon.
That suspect was arrested after spending 16 minutes on White House grounds, according to a Secret Service statement released Friday. The Secret Service said that “at no time did the individual gain entry into the White House.”
