An Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has tracked a massive surge in antisemitic incidents following the Oct. 7 attack launched by Hamas.

The group documented 312 antisemitic incidents in the more than two weeks since a war broke out between Hamas and Israel. The figures are a 388 percent spike over the same period last year.

“When conflict erupts in Israel, antisemitic incidents soon follow in the U.S. and globally,” Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL CEO, said in a release.

“From white supremacists in California displaying antisemitic banners on highway overpasses to radical anti-Zionists harassing Jewish people because of their real or perceived support for the Jewish state, we are witnessing a disturbing rise in antisemitic activity here while the war rages overseas.”

The war has also spurred an uptick in Islamophobic incidents — a trend seen for both groups across the globe.

Police in London reported a rise in Islamophobic incidents from Oct. 1-18, jumping to 101 offenses, up from 41 during the same period last year.

London police also reported 218 antisemitic offenses in that time period, up from 15 the year before.

ADL noted that entities in France and Germany also reported a rise in antisemitic attacks.
