READ: Supreme Court’s code of conduct for justices
The Supreme Court indicated Monday it would adopt its first code of conduct after it faced scrutiny after a series of reports revealed a host of undisclosed trips and gifts some justices received while serving on the high bench.
The code indicates its “rules and principles are not new” and the document was in response to “the misunderstanding that the Justices of this Court, unlike all other jurists in this country, regard themselves as unrestricted by any ethics rules.”
