Trump says he will be at ‘Sneaker Con’ in Philadelphia this weekend

Former President Trump says he’s “looking forward” to attending Sneaker Con, the popular event for sneakerheads to buy, sell and trade kicks, in Philadelphia this weekend.

The front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination announced Friday on Truth Social that he will be at the Philadelphia Convention Center at 3 p.m. Saturday.

“Looking forward to being at Sneakercon,” he wrote. “Then leaving for a Big Rally in Michigan!”

Trump is holding a “Get Out the Vote Rally” in Waterford Township, Mich., at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Pennsylvania is a crucial state in the November election. President Biden narrowly beat Trump in the state, 50 percent to 48.8 percent, in the 2020 election, despite Trump and surrogates campaigning heavily in the Keystone State, where Biden was born and spent the early years of his life.

The Hill has reached out to Sneaker Con representatives for comment. The organizers have not posted news of the former president’s appearance on social media platforms ahead of Trump’s announcement on Truth Social.
