Ocasio-Cortez compares Trump at debate to ‘guy yelling’ on NYC streets
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is mocking former President Trump’s debate performance against Vice President Harris, likening him to a man screaming at strangers on New York City’s streets.
“He sounds like a guy yelling at random people on 34th Street with a karaoke speaker,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote Tuesday to her more than 13 million followers on the social platform X.
Ocasio-Cortez later took another knock at Trump after MSNBC host Chris Hayes replied to her post that “most of them more interesting” than the former president.
“1000 [percent],” the lawmaker responded.
The congresswoman’s dig came as Trump and Harris came face-to-face for their first presidential debate hosted by ABC News in Philadelphia.
Despite mics being muted when it wasn’t a candidate’s turn to speak, the two White House hopefuls repeatedly clashed during the more than 90-minute debate.
