Pelosi says CNN shouldn’t air Trump remarks on Harris’s ‘cognitive problems’: ‘Why would you even cover that?’

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) fired back at former President Trump on Tuesday, condemning media coverage of his attacks of Vice President Harris after he said the Democratic presidential nominee has “bigger cognitive problems” than President Biden.

“Why would you even cover that? This is a person who’s not on the level,” Pelosi fumed during an appearance on CNN. “He is their nominee for president. He is incompetent. Let’s not even talk about the silliness of it all.”

At a rally in Savannah, Ga., earlier Tuesday, Trump said world leaders were laughing at Harris and “can’t believe that she’s going to be president.”

Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House, declared Trump’s comments an “assault on women.”

She later told CNN anchor Jake Tapper, “The only thing he did as president, the only thing he did as president when he had the majority, was to pass a bill that gave 83 [percent] — a tax cut that gave 83 [percent] of the benefits to the top 1 percent, adding $2 trillion to the national debt.”

She continued by saying Trump had “the worst job creation record of anybody president since Herbert Hoover.”
