Vice President Harris on Tuesday cracked open a Miller High Life with “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert, then criticized former President Trump and joked that happens when she drinks beer.

Colbert and Harris both drank from cans and talked about music and the previous election, according to an early transcript released to reporters. The interview is set to air on CBS at 11:35 p.m.

Harris both drank from cans and talked about music and the preview election, according to an early transcript released to reporters. The interview is set to air on CBS at 11:35 p.m.

Colbert asked Harris if Trump had lost the 2020 election, and the vice president mentioned her rallies.

“I’m going to tell you what some of the people in my rallies—quite a few people show up, by the way—you know, when you lost millions of jobs, you lost manufacturing, you lost automotive plants, you lost the election. What does that make you? A loser. This is what somebody at my rallies said,” Harris said. “I thought it was funny.”

“This is what happens when I drink beer,” she said, jokingly.

Colbert said he had asked Harris ahead of time if she would like to have a beer with him and that she had asked for Miller High Life. Trump and President Biden both don’t drink alcohol.

“The last time I had beer was at a baseball game with Doug. Cheers,” Harris said, referring to second gentleman Emhoff.

“The champagne of beers,” the vice president said, noting the nickname for Miller High Life.

“So that covers Wisconsin. Let’s talk Michigan. Let’s appeal to the Michigan voters, OK? What are your favorite Bob Seger songs?” Colbert asked Harris, referring to the Detroit-native singer.

He listed Seger songs and Harris replied, “I’ll go Aretha or Eminem. You got any?” Aretha Franklin and the rapper Eminem are both from Michigan.

The beer drinking occurred towards the end of the interview after Colbert asked Harris about accusations against Trump in journalist Bob Woodward’s new book. Harris earlier on Tuesday hit Trump over a report that he sent COVID tests to Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2020 after Trump’s campaign denied the story.

They also discussed the anniversary of Oct. 7, Hurricane Helene and the incoming Hurricane Milton, and her debate performance against Trump last month.

Colbert mentioned a moment during the debate when Harris rested her chin on her hand while Trump spoke, asking the vice president what she was thinking in that moment.

“It’s family TV, right? It starts with a W, there’s a letter between it, then the last letter’s F,” she replied.

Harris has been on a media blitz this week. Before she filmed the interview with Colbert in New York City, she sat down for interviews with ABC’s “The View” and Sirius XM’s Howard Stern.
