Obama departs on post-‘cliff’ vacation
President Obama is headed to Hawaii. Again.
The White House announced late Tuesday that Obama — who was forced to cut his Christmas vacation short last week to return to Washington — would be traveling back to Hawaii, where he would be reunited with the first family.
{mosads}Obama left his wife and two daughters in Hawaii last Wednesday evening so he could return to the White House as “fiscal cliff” negotiations resumed on Capitol Hill.
But shortly after Congress passed the legislation and Obama made brief remarks to the nation, the White House announced that Obama would be headed back to Hawaii.
The White House did not indicate when the president — who skipped his annual summer vacation in Martha’s Vineyard — would return to Washington. But it is likely that he will return this weekend.
