Beyoncé, Jay Z to attend Obama birthday bash: report

President Obama might have 99 problems, but his birthday party isn’t one.

Obama is celebrating his 55th birthday Friday night with a star-studded celebration at the White House, with Beyoncé and Jay Z attending. Kendrick Lamar, the president’s favorite rapper, will also show up, according to the New York Post.

It’s Obama’s last birthday as president, and he is planning to go out in style.

Several stars from the worlds of entertainment, sports and music have scored an invite. The guests include comedian Ellen DeGeneres, singer Stevie Wonder, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, singer and actress Jennifer Hudson and basketball legends Magic Johnson and Alonzo Mourning.

The Obamas have been known to throw private parties with A-list guests.

Last summer, Prince performed for a group of 500 people at the White House.

The party is taking place one day before the Obama family leaves for its annual vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.

Obama’s birthday falls on Thursday, and he is keeping things strictly business, according to his public schedule.

He is attending a national security briefing at the Pentagon and giving a press conference.

The president also ate lunch with Vice President Biden, who tweeted well wishes for Obama earlier in the day.

The party planning has largely been kept under wraps, and White House press secretary Josh Earnest declined to discuss the president’s plans during his Wednesday press briefing.

“He’ll be spending at least some of his birthday with all of you,” Earnest told reporters. “If that’s something he wanted to do for his birthday is something you’ll have to ask him tomorrow.”

When pressed, Earnest said he did not “have any updates on how the president is planning to celebrate his birthday, but we’ll keep you posted.”
