Obama takes Friday golf trip
President Obama left the White House on Friday afternoon to play a rare weekday round of golf.
{mosads}Obama hit the links at Andrews Air Force Base with aides Marvin Nicholson and Joe Paulsen — both frequent golf partners of the commander in chief.
The president had nothing listed on his public schedule on Friday. He returned to Washington in the early morning from a nine-day trip to China and Laos.
It’s the third time this year that Obama has made a Friday golf outing while in the nation’s capital.
He played at Andrews in March and May, each time a day before he was scheduled to depart for an international trip.
The president’s threesome will have to play through stifling heat on the course. The temperature at Andrews at the time of Obama’s arrival was 92 degrees.
