Obama to stump for Clinton in Florida
President Obama will stump for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton next Thursday in South Florida, her campaign announced Friday.
Obama was previously scheduled to appear at a Clinton rally last Wednesday in Miami Gardens, but the trip was scrapped due to Hurricane Matthew.
{mosads}The president was also forced to postpone a planned speech on his healthcare law in Tampa the same day.
Obama will instead deliver that speech Thursday at Miami Dade College.
Matthew spared South Florida, but the storm caused extensive damage in the northern part of the state, as well as in coastal areas of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
Forty-two people have been killed by the hurricane, mostly because of extreme flooding across the South.
