Trump to headline $5K-a-head NYC fundraiser: report
President-elect Donald Trump is the main event for a Dec. 7 fundraiser in New York City, according to a new report.
The $5,000-a-person breakfast a week from Wednesday will raise money for Trump for America, a 501 (C) (4) group funding the Republican’s transition effort, Politico said Monday.

Politico noted key guests include Steven Mnuchin, who is on Trump’s shortlist for Treasury secretary, and Wilbur Ross, a top candidate for Commerce secretary.
Ray Washburne, who leads the Trump transition’s Commerce landing team, and Bill Hagerty, who heads the presidential appointments team outside of Washington, D.C., are also expected to attend.
Brian Ballard, Florida’s top GOP fundraiser, is also a likely audience member at the event.
Ballard is Trump’s longtime lobbyist in Tallahassee and began heavily fundraising for the billionaire after Trump defeated Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in Florida’s GOP presidential primary last March.
The makeup of Trump’s future administration is the subject of feverish speculation due to the billionaire’s political inexperience.
Trump has rejected critics who say his transition process is mess, insisting it is a “very organized” process directly on schedule.
