RNC strategist Spicer is favorite to be Trump press secretary: report

Sean Spicer, the spokesman and chief strategist for the Republican National Committee (RNC), is the top choice to be President-elect Donald Trump’s White House press secretary, according to CNN.

Spicer worked to elect Trump and is now playing an active part in the transition efforts through his role as the RNC’s communications director.

{mosads}CNN Money reported late Tuesday that Katrina Pierson, who served as a spokeswoman for Trump’s presidential campaign, is also seeking the press secretary position.

Last month, The Hill reported that conservative radio host Laura Ingraham was also under consideration for the position.
