Priebus on media: ‘We’re not going to sit around and take it’

White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus on Sunday blasted the media, accusing reporters of trying to delegitimize the presidency of Donald Trump.

“The point is not the crowd size. The point is the attacks and the attempts to delegitimize this president in one day,” Priebus said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“And we’re not going to sit around and take it.”

Priebus’s comments come a day after the president railed on the media and accused reporters of lying about the crowd size at his inauguration.

{mosads}White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer doubled down later Saturday, delivering a blistering attack on the media.

During a briefing, he said the crowd at the president’s inauguration was “the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe.”

Priebus on Sunday said the media has an obsession with trying to delegitimize Trump.

“We’re not going to sit around and let is happen,” Priebus said.

“We are going to fight back tooth and nail every day.”

Trump and his team often rail on the media, accusing reporters of biased and dishonest coverage against him.
