Trump adds Washington Post to reading list: report

President Trump has added The Washington Post to the list of morning newspapers he reads, according to a new report.

Trump now pages through the D.C.-based publication daily alongside The New York Times and the New York Post, the Times said Wednesday.

Trump rises before 6 a.m. each day and watches television tuned to a cable channel in his White House residence, the report continued.

{mosads}Trump then switches to a small dining room in the West Wing, where he also begins scanning his three newspapers of choice.

The president’s meetings begin at 9 a.m., the Times added, meaning the bulk of Trump’s television watching now occurs at night.

Trump spends the period in between signing executive orders in the Oval Office and attending meetings in the West Wing.

The president’s daily rituals largely resemble his habits before he assumed the presidency, the Times noted, when Trump was a businessman living in New York City.

Trump and his family are still adjusting to the White House following his inauguration as America’s 45th leader last week.

The president took a harsh view of The Washington Post last year, frequently accusing it of bias against him.

Trump in June, for example, revoked the publication’s press credentials over its “dishonest reporting” about a mass shooting that month in Orlando, Fla.

The Post earned Trump’s ire over its coverage of his remarks questioning then-President Obama’s commitment to fighting radical Islamic terrorism.

“We’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart, or he’s got something else in mind,” Trump said of Obama during a June 13, 2016, Fox News interview.

“And then something else in mind, you know, people can’t believe it, people can’t believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and he can’t even mention the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism,’ ” he added. “There’s something going on — it’s inconceivable. There’s something going on.”

The Washington Post ran a headline reading “Donald Trump suggests President Obama was involved with Orlando shooting” following Trump’s remarks.

The newspaper ultimately altered the article to read “Donald Trump seems to connect President Obama to Orlando shooting” following Trump’s criticism.
