Trump talks ObamaCare over lunch with Walker, Scott
President Trump had lunch on Saturday with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Gov. Rick Scott, two prominent Republicans who backed his campaign.
The trio discussed “how best to solve the problems of ObamaCare, with a special emphasis on the states’ role in healthcare,” according to the White House.
The two governors are in Washington for the National Governors Association winter meeting. The lunch was not listed on Trump’s public schedule and was closed to the press.

The law gave states the option to use federal funds to expand access to the healthcare program for the poor and disabled, allowing millions to gain health insurance.
Wisconsin and Florida did not expand Medicaid, but 31 others did, including several governed by Republicans.
Scott is a longtime supporter of Trump. Walker ran against the business mogul in the 2016 Republican presidential primary, but dropped out before voting began. He eventually endorsed the businessman last July after Trump secured his party’s presidential nomination.
The lunch follows Trump’s Friday meeting with Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R), another primary opponent who has publicly criticized him. Under Kasich, Ohio did choose to expand Medicaid.
