Trump: GOP ‘coming together’ on healthcare plan
President Trump on Saturday morning said Republicans are “making great progress” in their bid to repeal and replace Obamacare.
“We are making great progress with healthcare. ObamaCare is imploding and will only get worse. Republicans coming together to get job done!” Trump tweeted.

House GOP leadership is in a power struggle with conservative lawmakers over leadership’s healthcare plan, which was unveiled this week.
{mosads}Conservatives have a range of objections, and many of them are vowing to vote against the legislation unless substantial changes are made. Leadership is pushing back, saying that lawmakers will ultimately face a take-it-or-leave-it proposition with the bill.
Trump has backed House leadership’s bill, but conservatives have indicated they see him as more open to negotiating the bill than Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).
The healthcare message was Trump’s only tweet thus far Saturday morning. The president has drawn notice for his tendency to tweet off-the-cuff attacks or accusations on Saturday mornings.
Last week, Trump claimed President Obama had his “wires tapped” in Trump Tower before Election Day, tweeting the accusation without offering evidence.
