President Trump’s approval rating stands at 39 percent as most Americans agree that tensions around the world are escalating, a new poll finds.

The Marist Institute for Public Opinion survey released on Friday shows that 39 percent of Americans believe that international tensions are on the rise.

According to the poll, 20 percent of responders believe that global tensions are roughly the same as it always is, and only 5 percent think that global tensions are easing.

According to the poll, 85 percent of Democrats, 70 percent of independents and 64 percent of Republicans are more likely to believe that tensions around the globe are heightened.

Trump’s approval rating did not substantially change from the 38 percent approval he received in the same poll last month.

Forty-nine percent of responders currently disapprove of the president’s performance, and 12 percent are unsure.

The poll found that 80 percent of Republicans, as opposed to only 12 percent of Democrats, approve of the president.
