Trump dings ‘Cryin’ Chuck Schumer’ for bashing Comey firing
President Trump tweeted Tuesday night, attacking Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) for criticizing his decision to fire FBI Director James Comey.
“Cryin’ Chuck Schumer stated recently, ‘I do not have confidence in him (James Comey) any longer.’ Then acts so indignant. #draintheswamp” Trump tweeted.

{mosads}At a press conference earlier Tuesday evening, Schumer said he told Trump that his decision to fire Comey was a “big mistake.”
“Earlier this afternoon President Trump called me and informed me he was firing Director Comey,” Schumer told reporters. “I told the president, ‘Mr. President, with all due respect, you are making a big mistake.’ ”
He added that Trump didn’t “really respond” to his comment.
According to reports, Schumer has asked Senate Democrats to be in their seats on the floor at 9:30 Wednesday morning, and will then hold a largely symbolic caucus meeting at 10:30 a.m.
Trump fired Comey on Tuesday based on the recommendation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his deputy, Rod Rosenstein, White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters.
Trump wrote in a letter to Comey that the FBI has to restore “public trust and confidence.”
