Poll: Trump approval sinks to new low
President Trump’s approval rating has fallen to a new low as registered voters raise concerns about his leadership, according to a poll released Friday.
Fifty-three percent disapprove of Trump in the Morning Consult/Politico survey released Friday, and 41 percent approve.
Morning Consult said it is the third time Trump’s approval rating has reached a fresh low this month, falling from 44 percent on May 4 and 42 percent on May 12.
{mosads}Pollsters found that 50 percent do not think Trump is able to serve as commander in chief, while 40 percent consider him capable.
Fifty-four percent say Trump lacks the judgment to be president, and 34 percent disagree.
Friday’s results additionally found that 77 percent consider Trump arrogant, while 17 percent do not.
Trump’s administration is increasingly consumed by federal investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Trump on Thursday denounced the appointment of a special counsel to conduct the probe, which includes possible ties between Russia and his campaign team.
“Well, I respect the move, but the entire thing has been a witch hunt,” he said. “I think we have a divided country because of that and many other things.”
