First daughter Ivanka Trump said she thinks it’s normal she and her father don’t have the same opinions on every issue.
During an interview that aired Monday on “Fox & Friends,” Trump said she advises President Trump on a “plethora” of issues. She also said her father trusts her to be candid with her opinions and she makes it clear where she stands on different topics.
“I give him my open and candid feedback,” she said. “Sometimes we agree. Sometimes we disagree.”
{mosads}Trump was then pressed on specific areas of disagreement between the first daughter and the president.
“We’re different people, so there are areas we disagree,” she said.
“I think it’s normal to not have 100 percent aligned viewpoints on every issue. I think that would be a very strange scenario. And I don’t think anyone operates like that with a parent or within the context of an administration.”
Trump said she thinks having different viewpoints at the table is a positive thing.
“I think one of the things that in this country we don’t have enough of is dialogue and substantive dialogue,” she said, “where people who have different opinions can speak about them freely and candidly.”
When asked what grade she would give the president, she responded: “An A, of course!”
