Germany: ‘Desirable’ for US to talk to Europeans about Russia sanctions

“It would be very desirable for the U.S. government to sit down with us at the negotiating table and to work through an acceptable solution for all parties.”
{mosads}Senators last week sent legislation slapping new sanctions on Moscow to President Trump’s desk.
Senators voted 98-2 on the bill, which would give Congress the ability to block Trump from lifting the Russia sanctions. It also includes new penalties against Iran and North Korea.
The White House announced last week that Trump plans to sign the legislation.
