Photos of Trump golfing posted online
President Trump played a round of golf during the fifth day of his summer vacation in New Jersey.
An Instagram user posted a photo of himself and the president posing on the course at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster on Wednesday.
“Fantastic day golfing with #45 @realdonaldtrump at Trump Bedminister today,” user Mike Fazio wrote. “We had an exciting match which came down to the 18th hole.”
Such images from social media make up most of the glimpses of Trump the public has seen so far during his 17-day summer getaway.
{mosads}Trump has insisted that his trip is “not a vacation,” but outside of a handful of meetings and calls, aides have generally declined to say what Trump is doing on any given day.
The media had a rare opportunity to see the president in action on Tuesday, when he issued a warning to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un about his nuclear ambitions during a meeting with senior advisers at the club.
Presidents typically take vacations in August, and Trump is no exception. But past White Houses have been less secretive about the president’s actives. For example, former President Barack Obama generally allowed the press to be told whom he was golfing with and sometimes allowed himself to be photographed on the course.
