Donald Trump Jr. hits Michael Moore for suggesting Mar-a-Lago open as shelter: ‘Narrative!’
Donald Trump Jr. on Sunday shot back at documentary filmmaker Michael Moore after he questioned whether President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort had opened up as a shelter to be used during Hurricane Irma.
“It’s on an island on both the ocean & intercostal and in a mandatory evacuation zone… probably not the best idea, but you know, narrative!” Trump Jr. tweeted.

Irma made landfall twice on Sunday, first as a Category 4 storm and then again as a Category 3, as it tore through Florida.
The expectation of the hurricane led to one of the biggest evacuations in U.S. history, with millions leaving their homes to escape the storm. It brought heavy winds and flooding to the region and left millions of people without power. Shelters were opened across the state.
On Monday, Irma was downgraded to a tropical storm, but officials are warning of continued dangers.
President Trump said Sunday he plans to visit Florida “very soon.”
