Trump: I’m ‘saddened’ by low Emmys ratings
President Trump said he was “saddened” to see the Emmys’ low ratings in a tweet Tuesday night.
“I was saddened to see how bad the ratings were on the Emmys last night – the worst ever. Smartest people of them all are the ‘DEPLORABLES,’” Trump tweeted.

Sunday night’s Emmy Awards is on track to be the lowest-rated Emmys of all time.
{mosads}Trump was the target of several jokes at the Emmys. Host Stephen Colbert took several jabs at the president during his opening monologue, saying he was “looking forward” to Trump’s tweets.
Celebrities also used their acceptance speeches to speak out against the president, including Donald Glover, who thanked Trump “for making black people No. 1 on the most oppressed list.”
Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer also appeared at the awards, mocking his own comments defending the crowd size at Trump’s inauguration.
