Trump fires back at ‘Crooked Hillary’ over N. Korea criticism

President Trump is taking aim at Hillary Clinton, blaming the former secretary of State for North Korea’s nuclear advances after she ripped Trump’s debut speech at the United Nations.

“After allowing North Korea to research and build Nukes while Secretary of State (Bill C also), Crooked Hillary now criticizes,” Trump tweeted early Wednesday, referring to Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, as well.

The president shortly after retweeted another account that ripped Clinton’s comments.

“It is the height of hypocrisy,” that tweet said. “Obama and Clinton in effect gave nuclear weapons to North Korea by their policy of appeasement.”

Trump’s tweets come after his 2016 general election opponent tore into the president’s address to the U.N. General Assembly, calling it “very dark” and dangerous.”

{mosads}”When you face dangerous situations like what is happening in North Korea, to make it clear, your first approach should always be diplomatic,” Clinton said during an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

“We view this as dangerous to our allies, to the region, and even to our country. We call on all nations to work with us to try to end the threat posed by Kim Jong Un, and not call him ‘Rocket Man’ — the old Elton John song — but to say it clearly, we will not tolerate any attacks on our friends or ourselves,” she continued, referring to the president’s newest nickname for the North Korean leader.

Trump in his maiden address to the General Assembly threatened to “totally destroy” North Korea if it continues its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Trump said Kim’s “reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons … threatens the entire world with unthinkable loss of human life.”
