{mosads}The president visited Las Vegas on Wednesday to meet with victims’ families and first responders following the nation’s deadliest mass shooting.
Trump said he was “proud to be an American” after meeting with survivors.
Almost 60 people died and hundreds more were injured at a country music festival on the Las Vegas Strip.
Authorities say the suspected gunman, who has been identified as Stephen Paddock, was found dead in his hotel room, which overlooked the concert site.
The shooting has renewed calls for gun control, with some GOP lawmakers supporting the Democratic effort.
