Preet Bharara fires back at Trump’s NBC license tweet
Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara on Wednesday fired back at President Trump’s tweet raising the prospect of taking away NBC’s broadcast license.
Bharara, a frequent Trump critic, replied to the president’s tweet, writing that it’s time for employees of the “adult daycare” that is the White House to “report for duty.”

The phrase was a reference to Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), who called the White House an “adult day care center” earlier this week in the midst of a feud with the president.

NBC is the current target of Trump’s media criticisms after reporting last week that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called the president a “moron.” A follow-up story published Wednesday morning said that Tillerson’s jab came after the president indicated a desire to increase the U.S. nuclear arsenal to 10-times its current size.
Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that the “fake news” coming out of NBC and other networks is “bad” for the country and floated the idea of challenging its broadcasting license.
With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!

Bharara was appointed to his post as a federal prosecutor in Manhattan under former President Obama. He served seven years before Trump fired him in March after Bharara refused to resign.
