Trump heads to his Virginia golf course

President Trump visited his golf club in Sterling, Va., on Saturday, his second consecutive weekend venturing to the club just outside Washington.

Trump left the White House shortly after 10 a.m on Saturday, where reporters saw staffers loading golf clubs into one of the vehicles in Trump’s motorcade.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was also spotted getting into the limousine with Trump, according to White House pool reports. Trump arrived at the golf club less than an hour later.

The White House typically doesn’t confirm if Trump is golfing on visits to his golf clubs, but deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters confirmed Saturday afternoon that Trump would be golfing with Graham.

Trump last visited his Virginia golf club on the Columbus Day holiday on Monday, where he played another confirmed round of golf with Graham.

Graham said afterwards that Trump shot a 73 during their round of golf, joking that he “did better in the presidential race” against Trump than on the golf course.

Trump also made an unscheduled visit to the club last Saturday ahead of an appearance at a Republican fundraiser.

Trump’s trip Saturday marks the fifth consecutive weekend Trump has visited one of his properties and the 72nd day at one of his own golf properties since taking office, according to an NBC News tracker.
Before leaving for his golf club Saturday, Trump took to Twitter to say he was “very proud” of his executive order on health care this week. He also claimed that health insurance stocks “plunged” after he announced his decision to end key ObamaCare payments.
