Kushner makes unannounced visit to Saudi Arabia: report

President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner made an unannounced visit to Saudi Arabia this week, according to a report from Politico.

Kushner reportedly traveled to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday on a commercial flight, and returned on Saturday.

Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell and the administration’s Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt traveled with Kushner, according to the report.

{mosads}“The Senior Advisor to the President, the Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategy, and the Special Representative for International Negotiations recently returned from Saudi Arabia,” a White House official told Politico.

“The Senior Advisor has also been in frequent contact with officials from Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Saudi Arabia,” the official said.

The visit marks Kushner’s third trip to the country this year.

Kushner has been seen as a point of contact for the administration on issues stemming from the Middle East.

The president’s son-in-law traveled to Israel in August to continue to broker peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
