Trump thanks Senate for ‘high-quality’ judge appointments
President Trump on Wednesday thanked the Senate and Republican leaders for their “record clip” at confirming his “high-quality” judge appointments.
“Thanks to Senate Majority Leader [Mitch] McConnell and the Senate GOP we are appointing high-quality Federal District… and Appeals Court Judges at a record clip! Our courts are rapidly changing for the better!” Trump wrote in two separate tweets.

His tweets come after two of the president’s judicial appointments were successfully processed in the upper chamber this week.
{mosads}Earlier Wednesday, the Senate confirmed Michigan Supreme Court Justice Joan Larsen to the Cincinnati-based 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Before securing her confirmation, outside groups had expressed concern that Larsen may not operate as an independent check on the White House.
On Tuesday, the upper chamber also confirmed Amy Coney Barrett as U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judge.
That appointment also earned criticism. Barrett, who has questioned the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Roe v. Wade, has also claimed ObamaCare’s birth control mandate is “a grave violation of religious freedom.”
Conservatives have pointed to judge nominations as important to the long-term legacy of Trump and the Republican-majority Congress.
Republicans are aggressively aiming to have four conservative jurists receive their confirmations to federal appeals courts this week, even threatening weekend work if all four are not put through the chamber.
McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, and other party leaders are looking to get Colorado Supreme Court Justice Allison Eid to be U.S. circuit judge for the 10th Circuit and University of Pennsylvania Law School Professor Stephanos Bibas be U.S. circuit judge for the 3rd Circuit.
