Fox News’s Napolitano: Flynn guilty plea ‘a nightmare for Trump’

Retired judge and Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano says Michael Flynn’s guilty plea is a “nightmare” for President Trump.
“I think this is probably the tip of a prosecutorial iceberg, so to speak,” Napolitano said Friday on Fox News. “It is a nightmare for Donald Trump.
“The downside for the president is this keeps the Russia story front and center at a time when the president is beginning to move towards the achievements of his legislative agenda,” he added.

Napolitano’s comments come after former national security adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to FBI officials about his contacts with Russian officials.
As part of the plea agreement, Flynn is cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Prosecutors said that a very senior member of the president’s transition team “directed” Flynn to contact Russian officials.
Trump has praised Napolitano in the past as a “talented legal mind” after Napolitano claimed that former President Barack Obama had a British intelligence agency spy on Trump.
