President Trump on Sunday night is hosting family, celebrities and members of his Cabinet at his Mar-a-Lago estate for a New Year’s Eve celebration.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, former New York Mets great Keith Hernandez and Trump’s children are among those in attendance, according to reporters.
Reporters tweeted out photos of people arriving at the gathering.
The menu for the event includes lobster ravioli and “7x sliced tenderloin and pan seared sea bass,” according to pool reports.
Guests wore formal attire, with some women wearing full length gowns and fur stoles.
Trump and his son, Barron, both wore tuxedos to the event and first lady Melania Trump was dressed in a full length rose gold glittery gown, according to pool reports.
Ahead of the dinner, guests went to a cocktail reception. Leading up to the Grand Ballroom, where the dinner was held, a red carpet was put down.
Trump is spending the holiday at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
Earlier Sunday, Trump tweeted out a New Year’s wish to the country.
“As our Country rapidly grows stronger and smarter, I want to wish all of my friends, supporters, enemies, haters, and even the very dishonest Fake News Media, a Happy and Healthy New Year. 2018 will be a great year for America!” Trump tweeted.
