Trump touts reports of bonuses, higher wages after tax bill
President Trump on Sunday took to Twitter to highlight reports about bonuses and higher wages given as a result of the new GOP tax law.
“4.2 million hard working Americans have already received a large Bonus and/or Pay Increase because of our recently Passed Tax Cut & Jobs Bill….and it will only get better! We are far ahead of schedule,” Trump tweeted.

A survey last month found that less than 2 percent of Americans said they got a bonus, pay raise or other perk as a result of the GOP tax plan.

And Morgan Stanley analysts said they believe that only 13 percent of the corporate savings would go to workers, with about 43 percent of that money going toward investors.
Trump has highlighted reports of companies giving employees bonuses as a result of the tax plan.
CVS recently announced that it would increase the starting wage for hourly workers from $9 to $11 an hour, after the company got a $1.5 billion tax break from the new law.
