Trump hits Oscars: ‘We don’t have stars anymore’

President Trump went after the Oscars over the award show’s low ratings in a tweet early Tuesday, saying “we don’t have Stars anymore.”

“Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore – except your President (just kidding, of course)!” Trump tweeted.

Just 26.5 million viewers tuned in to Sunday’s Oscars, an all-time low.

Jimmy Kimmel, a frequent critic of Trump, hosted the show. He took a couple of swipes at Trump and his administration during the awards, joking that, “None other than President Trump called ‘Get Out’ the best first three-quarters of a movie this year.”

Hip-hop artist Common also hit at Trump during his Oscars performance, but didn’t mention the president by name.

“A president that trolls with hate. He don’t control our fate because God is great,” Common said.
