FEC filings show Trump campaign regularly used Amazon for supplies
President Trump’s campaign spent nearly $160,000 on Amazon orders of office supplies, according to a new report that comes as the president has ramped up attacks on the company.
In 379 transactions labeled as office supply purchases on Federal Election Commission records, the Trump campaign spent $158,498.11 on Amazon orders in 2015 and 2016, according to CBS News.
Trump’s reelection committee also spent more than $2,000 on Amazon purchases in 2017, according to the FEC records.

He continued his criticisms on Saturday, accusing the company of “scamming” USPS, and adding that the Washington Post, which is owned by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, should register as a lobbyist.

{mosads}The president criticized Amazon while on the campaign trail, and has called on USPS to raise shipping rates for the company. Amazon receives an average subsidy of $1.46 from USPS for every package it ships through the agency.
The online retail giant collects taxes on products sold in states with state and local sales taxes in place, but does not collect taxes in all states on behalf of third-party sellers.
