Report: Trump businesses make millions from GOP groups, federal agencies
Political groups and federal agencies gave President Trump’s businesses at least $15.1 million since 2015, according to a report to be released Monday that was obtained by McClatchy.
The money was given to Trump’s businesses during his presidential campaign and the first 15 months of his presidency, according to the liberal watchdog group Public Citizen.
The Trump campaign spent about 90 percent of the total money, or $13.4 million.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) gave more than $717,000 and the RNC and Trump campaign joint fundraising committee, Trump Victory, gave almost $595,000 to Trump businesses.
Two PACs spent $57,000, McClatchy reported.
McClatchy points out that in 2013 and 2014, political spending at Trump’s properties didn’t total more than $20,000.
The president often spends time at a number of his properties, causing the government to spend money at such facilities.
Trump broke precedent by not fully divesting from his businesses before being sworn into office.
The president placed his holdings in a trust to be run by his sons and can revoke that trust at any time.
Ethics experts had urged Trump to sell off his assets and place the proceeds into a blind trust, calling it the only way to remove any possible conflicts between his business empire and his presidency.
