President Trump on Wednesday thanked Kanye West for his tweet supporting the president.
“Thank you Kanye, very cool!” Trump wrote.
Trump also retweeted the rapper’s message, in which West said “the mob” can’t stop him from loving Trump and that the two men “are both dragon energy.”

“We are both dragon energy. He is my brother,” he tweeted.
West later clarified that support — after he said he got a call from his wife Kim Kardashian West — saying that he doesn’t “agree with everything Trump does.”
West later tweeted a photo of a “Make America Great Again” hat that appeared to be signed by Trump.
Trump then retweeted Kanye’s photo. “MAGA!” the president wrote.
Prior to Trump’s initial tweet, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday was asked if the two men had talked recently.
“I don’t know of any conversations they’ve had over the last week or so. I’ll keep you posted if that changes,” she said.
Trump and West had met during the presidential transition. West traveled to Trump Tower in New York City in December to meet with the president-elect.
Trump told reporters that they talked about “life” during the meeting.
“Just friends, just friends,” Trump said about the meeting. “And, uh, he’s a good man. We’ve been friends for a long time.”
West didn’t take questions from the reporters at the time, saying, “I just want to take a picture right now.”
