Former Harvard classmates unleash attacks on Kushner ahead of reunion

Jared Kushner’s former Harvard classmates are expressing their displeasure with President Trump’s adviser and son-in-law ahead of festivities for their 15th reunion.

The Boston Globe reports that a small number of graduates from Harvard’s Class of 2003 are using their alumni notes to launch personal attacks at the senior White House aide.

“I think what I am most proud of, however, is what I’ve managed to avoid during the past five years,” read one entry from a graduate in the alumni book.

The entry went on to allude to several past controversies surrounding Kushner, including accusations that he made material omissions from security clearance disclosure forms.

“Mostly, I feel low-grade, constant horror as I watch attacks on refugees, minorities, my most at-risk patients, women’s rights, and the environment, and new threats of nuclear war,” wrote another classmate, who said her grandparents were Holocaust survivors. “Shame on you, Jared Kushner.”

“I, for one, am actually glad that our Class of ’03 finally has a real, live fascist among us,” wrote another. “Who says Harvard isn’t diverse?”

The notes in the Harvard Red Book alumni listings gained more notoriety after Ben Wikler, the Washington director of MoveOn.org, posted a few of the entries this week.

It’s a Harvard tradition dating back to the 19th century for alumni to write updates about their lives every five years in the Red Book, but the notes are rarely used to go after people, the Globe reported.

Alumni began using the latest book to attack Kushner after a private “Shame on You, Jared Kushner” Facebook page was created about six months ago, according to the Globe. The page’s organizers urged their Class of 2003 peers to use the book as a platform to criticize Kushner.

Kushner is not expected to attend the 15th reunion gathering taking place on Thursday, according to the Globe.
