Victim’s father: ‘Stop weaponizing Parkland’ in Kavanaugh hearing
Andrew Pollack, whose daughter died in the mass school shooting in Parkland, Fla., is defending Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and asking people to stop using the tragedy as a political weapon.
“Judge Kavanaugh was not responsible for the Parkland school shooting that killed my daughter,” Pollack tweeted on Tuesday. “Stop weaponizing Parkland to advance a dangerous political agenda!”
Judge Kavanaugh was not responsible for the Parkland school shooting that killed my daughter. @RobertwRuncie, FBI, and Sheriff Israel are.
Judge Kavanaugh is a decent man and should be confirmed.
Stop weaponizing Parkland to advance a dangerous political agenda!

{mosads}“Blaming President Trump and Judge Kavanaugh (of all people) for Parkland is completely illogical. They had nothing to do with it,” he added in a tweet later Tuesday night.
“My daughter is dead because the school board, the police, and the FBI all failed to protect her,” he wrote.
I. Will. Never. See. My. Daughter. Again.
Blaming President Trump and Judge Kavanaugh (of all people) for Parkland is completely illogical. They had nothing to do with it.
My daughter is dead because the school board, the police, and the FBI all failed to protect her.#FixIt

Pollack reiterated his call on Wednesday, directing a tweet to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who questioned Kavanaugh on the second day of his confirmation hearing about his stance on gun control.
Senator Feinstein,
Please stop weaponizing the death of my daughter to push your radical agenda.
Sincerely,
Andrew Pollack#FixIt

Feinstein invited Fred Guttenberg, the father of another Parkland victim, to Kavanaugh’s hearing on Tuesday.
I invited @Fred_Guttenberg to sit in the audience at today’s hearing because the Supreme Court affects the lives of real people. He knows firsthand how Brett Kavanaugh’s extreme views on guns could lead to more massacres. Thank you Fred, for honoring your daughter.

Guttenberg, who has become a vocal advocate for gun control, gained national media attention after security ushered Kavanaugh away from him when he tried to shake the nominee’s hand and speak with him during a break in the chaotic hearing.
