Conway’s husband retweets anonymous NYT op-ed blasting Trump
George Conway, husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, on Wednesday retweeted an anonymous New York Times op-ed blasting President Trump.
Conway, a conservative lawyer who has been a frequent critic of the president, retweeted the article, which is reportedly written by an anonymous senior administration official about the person’s efforts to rein in the president from inside the administration.
Conway retweeted a post about the article, which had been shared by Michael Barbaro, host of The New York Times podcast The Daily.

He also retweeted NBC News Capitol Hill Correspondent Kasie Hunt’s post of the op-ed.
“Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment,” an anonymous Trump office writes https://t.co/arWRLaB96g

The op-ed’s author asserts they approve of much of what the Trump administration has done, despite being heavily critical of Trump, .
“To be clear, ours is not he popular ‘resistance’ of the left,” the Times’ anonymous op-ed reads. “We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous.”
The anonymous official says they work to keep Trump’s “misguided impulses” in check.
The Washington Post recently reported that George Conway is himself a member of a “semi-secret” group of conservatives who are critical of the president named the “Meeting of the Concerned.”
