Avenatti hits back at Trump Jr. over Anthony Weiner insult: You’ll be indicted

Michael Avenatti taunted Donald Trump Jr. over Twitter on Tuesday, saying the president’s son will soon “be indicted” on federal charges.

Avenetti made the crack after Trump Jr. joked over Twitter that former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) could join a presidential ticket with Avenatti. The former congressman is expected to soon be released from federal prison.

{mosads}”Who else is excited about Avenatti/Weiner 2020?” Trump Jr. tweeted.

“If I were you, the last thing I would be doing is referencing other people getting out of federal prison,” Avenatti replied. “Because after you are indicted, you will likely be passing them on your way in. [By the way] BTW, they don’t have silver spoons or gold toilets in the joint. Buckle up Buttercup.”

Trump Jr. has been implicated in special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into ties between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign. He has said he is “not worried” about going to jail due to the Mueller probe.

Avenatti, who has not ruled out the possibility of running for president, often advocates for Democrats fighting “fire with fire.”

The New York lawyer gained notoriety for representing adult-film star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against the president, and most recently represented Julie Swetnick, one of the women alleging sexual misconduct by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Weiner was sentenced to prison in Sept. 2017 after admitting to sending lewd messages to a minor. Weiner’s political career was derailed after he was discovered multiple times sending nude photographs and graphic text messages to multiple women.
