Sarah Sanders on possible Hillary Clinton 2020 run: ‘Christmas coming early this year?’
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders mocked a possible third presidential run by Hillary Clinton, asking if Christmas is “coming early this year.”
Her comment came as she retweeted a story quoting a former close Clinton aide floating the possibility.
“Christmas coming early this year?” asked Sanders in welcoming a Clinton candidacy in a tweet to her 3.38 million followers.

{mosads} Sanders was retweeting a Daily Caller story that linked to a Politico interview in which former Clinton aide Philippe Reines makes an argument around a viable Clinton candidacy, citing her ability to fundraise and fight as primary factors.
“It’s somewhere between highly unlikely and zero … but it’s not zero,” said Reines in the Politico interview published Friday.
“She is smarter than most, tougher than most, she could raise money easier than most, and it was an absolute fight to the death,” he added.
Reines served as a senior adviser to Clinton when she was secretary of State during the Obama administration.
The tweet could mark a possible violation of the Hatch Act, which forbids federal employees from engaging in partisan politics as part of their government business.
Sanders did not immediately reply to a request for comment from The Hill.
Clinton won the popular vote in 2016 but lost the electoral vote to Donald Trump 304-232.
