Trump offers US aid to New Zealand following mosque shootings

President Trump on Friday offered U.S. assistance to the prime minister of New Zealand following a deadly shooting at a pair of mosques that killed 49 people.

Trump said he spoke by phone with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern “regarding the horrific events that have taken place over the past 24 hours” and told her “we stand in solidarity with New Zealand – and that any assistance the U.S.A. can give, we stand by ready to help.”

“We love you New Zealand!” he wrote on Twitter.

Trump is expected to address the terror attack during a 3:30 p.m. event at the White House.{mosads}
