Majority in Fox News poll says Trump has tried to interfere in Russia investigation

A majority of respondents said they believed President Trump has tried to interfere in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, according to a new Fox News poll

The poll, released Sunday morning, found that 52 percent of respondents said they think Trump has attempted to interfere in the recently completed investigation. Thirty-six percent said they believed Trump has not tried to interfere in the probe.

The findings come just days after Mueller submitted his report on his investigation to Attorney General William Barr. Barr could brief Congress on the probe’s highlights as early as Sunday.

Many lawmakers have called for the Department of Justice to release Mueller’s report in full. The Fox News poll found that a large portion of America voters agreed. Eighty percent of respondents said the Mueller report should be made public.

Just 11 percent said it should not be released publicly.

Forty-one percent of respondents said that there is “no chance at all” that Mueller’s report will change their opinion of the president. Fifty percent, meanwhile, said that there is at least a small chance their opinion of Trump could change.

The Fox News poll was conducted between March 17 and March 20 among 1,002 registered voters. The margin of error is 3 percentage points.
